ROLINX Easy is a Rogers busbar solution for power interconnections. Rogers describes it as a configurable option for low- and medium-voltage applications with less demanding electrical performance requirements. Its intended uses include industrial converters, process automation, renewable energy and electricity production.
Where a busbar fits
A busbar forms part of a system’s power distribution path. ROLINX Easy is designed to replace simple or stacked busbars and is offered with choices of materials, thicknesses, plating and interconnection techniques. These configuration choices should follow the electrical and mechanical requirements of the equipment.
For a design enquiry, prepare the operating voltage, current profile, connection locations and installation envelope. Also identify ambient conditions, insulation requirements and the tests needed for the finished assembly. Have the busbar manufacturer review the complete set of requirements before finalizing the design.
Separate busbar and PCB requirements
ROLINX Easy is not a copper-clad RF laminate grade. An RF PCB elsewhere in the equipment needs its own substrate and fabrication specification. This distinction matters when reading a bill of materials or sending an enquiry to a circuit-board fabricator.
