Rogers R/bak SA 2100 is a soft cushioning tape for mounting flexographic printing plates. Rogers positions this product for screen and process printing. The SA family uses compressible urethane foam with acrylic adhesive, rather than the polyimide insulation construction previously associated with this name.
Select for the printing job
Start with the artwork, printing substrate, plate and press configuration. Ask the supplier to confirm the suitable tape thickness and product variant for the mounting arrangement. Keep the full designation on purchasing and process records.
For a change of mounting tape, evaluate printed results under representative conditions. Include fine-detail reproduction, consistency across the job and plate removal in the review. Product-family descriptions do not replace a press trial or establish compatibility with every plate material.
Use the correct documentation
Follow the current mounting and handling guidance supplied for the selected R/bak tape. Do not apply electrical-insulation ratings or high-temperature wire-wrapping instructions from an unrelated tape family.
