R/bak SA 2300 General-Purpose Plate Mounting Tape

Rogers R/bak SA 2300 is a medium cushioning tape for flexographic plate mounting. It is the general-purpose option in the SA family, which also includes softer and firmer choices. Rogers’ SA documentation describes urethane foam combined with acrylic adhesive.

Match the tape to the press

Define the plate, cylinder or sleeve arrangement, printing substrate and artwork requirements. Confirm the required mounting thickness and the complete product designation with the supplier. A general-purpose classification is a starting point for selection, not a guarantee of the same result on every press.

Compare candidate constructions through representative print trials. Document the mounting procedure, impression settings and removal requirements so that the evaluation can be repeated. Follow the current supplier instructions for surface preparation and handling.

Keep the application category clear

SA 2300 is a printing material. Its name does not establish skin-contact suitability, hypoallergenic behavior or permission to secure medical devices. Those claims require documentation for a specifically intended medical product.

Rogers’ R/bak resources identify the product family and current purchasing route. For electronic substrate selection, consult the RF PCB materials directory; a plate-mounting tape and a circuit-board laminate serve different functions.
