Rogers RO4350B is a glass-reinforced hydrocarbon ceramic thermoset laminate for RF circuit boards. Rogers describes it as compatible with standard epoxy/glass fabrication processes. It is a specific material grade, not a PTFE family with freely selectable dielectric constants.
Define the board before comparing prices
A useful quotation needs the exact laminate construction, dielectric thickness, copper cladding, board dimensions, layer count and order quantity. Also state the surface finish, impedance requirements and required inspection or test reports.
Separate the price of raw laminate from the price of a fabricated circuit board. Ask suppliers to identify what their quotations include, such as panel preparation, tooling, electrical testing and delivery. Compare offers against the same drawing revision and acceptance requirements.
Review substitutions and availability
Confirm current material availability and lead time for the requested construction. Any proposed substitute should undergo an electrical and manufacturing review before approval. A similar nominal dielectric constant does not establish that two materials are interchangeable.
